“All origins are accidental” - Fugazi
“All origins are accidental,” Fugazi once sang.
That line always stuck with me. Looking at what’s happening in the world, especially in recent years, months, weeks, and days, as well as in our individual daily lives, I see a deep truth in those words.
In them, I recognize the luck of being born who I am and where I am, something that becomes even more striking when I think about how different life could’ve been if I had entered the world under different circumstances.
Especially in times like these, when so many people are facing violence, displacement, or injustice, I feel a deep sense of responsibility not to ignore the privilege that shaped my life’s starting point.
It’s not something I take lightly, and certainly not something I take for granted.

2024 was one of the most intense years of my life.
Having an album and a song titled Never Look Back might seem contradictory to what I’m about to share, but this year was so wild that I think a little retrospection is in order.

Ten years of Songs of Existence!
10 Years of Songs of Existence! Apparently ten years ago today I shared my very first full length solo album with the World. I don't think I really knew what I was doing back then, but it kind of made sense.

2022 was a year that left a mark, mostly for good.
Looking back at these last twelve months I can only say I'm happy with the way my life is shaping up. The last few years were definitely the hardest, but here I am, eager to see what comes next. Thank you to everyone who made this year so special. You know who you are and I'll always be grateful.
